If you have a simple stretching of your existing earlobe piercing hole, Dr. Karamanoukian offers a simple correction that removes the old piercing hole followed by suture closure in three or four layers. Recovery after Torn Earlobe Repair in Beverly Hills
Although not an absolute, plastic surgeons traditionally recommend that you take it easy immediately after your torn earlobe repair because the skin has not yet had time to heal and there is still some risk of mild bleeding if the stitches are disrupted. You may feel some mild discomfort and pain, for which we can either recommend Tylenol Acetaminophen or a stronger medication - if indicated. Patients typically resume normal activities after surgery and are able to drive home from the procedure provided no deep anesthetics are administered. You may shower on the same day of surgery in most cases, but you may find some difficulty sleeping on your surgical site for several days. We recommend that you return for follow up, suture removal, and finally earlobe repiercing.
