Treatment Options at Kare Plastic Surgery
Fractional CO2 Laser
Progressively resurfaces the scar surface, blends it with surrounding skin tone and texture, and stimulates new collagen over a series of sessions. Best for flat scars with color or texture mismatch. Can begin three months after facelift surgery.
Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser
Targets redness and persistent pink or red discoloration in healing facelift scars. Often combined with CO2 laser in alternating sessions for faster overall scar improvement. Also reduces early scar hypertrophy.
Surgical Scar Re-Excision
Wide, displaced, or raised facelift scars that do not respond adequately to laser are revised surgically. The scar is re-excised under local anesthesia and re-closed with tension-free layered technique. Surgery is deferred until the scar has fully matured.
Steroid Injections
