HAIR LOSS AND PRP
Alopecia can be addressed with PRP injections into the hair follicle layer of the scalp. PRP injections are a natural way to boost hair growth using growth factors contained in the plasma portion of your blood. During the procedure, a small vial of blood is drawn from your arm and purified using a centrifuge to separate out the platelet rich portion of the plasma. Once purified, the platelet rich plasma is then injected into the areas of thinning hair on the scalp. In our experience, we have found PRP to be a natural stimulant of hair growth with patients reporting, longer, thicker, and more dense growth of hair within a few weeks to a few months.
Microneedling and PRP
Microneedling is a well-established skin resurfacing treatment that uses small needles to penetrate deep within the skin in order to stimulate cellular renewal, collagen production, and microexfoliation.
At Kare Plastic Surgery + Skin Health Center, our clinicians employ microneedling with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) in order to rejuvenate the skin. Our office follows well-established protocols for the preparation and purification of PRP that are validated by top clinical scientists in growth-factor and cellular biology.
PRP has been established as a stimulatory plasma solution containing active platelets and growth factors. When isolated and microneedled within the skin, PRP can rejuvenate cellular processes and improve skin quality.
